Matthew began his studies at the Claremont Centre at the age of 16 on an ESF course having been out of education for six months. He then progressed on to a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music, where he achieved a Distinction. He then continued his studies on to a BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in Music Practice and gain achieved very highly. Upon completing his studies Matthew decided to take a break from education and work full time. He has also performed in a number of musicals and at many venues, including The Curve, with local Amateur Operatic Societies including Wigston Amateur Operatic Society and Leicester Amateur Operatic Society. He has also performed at Glastonbudget Music Festival a couple of times and in 2011 he performed as part of the closing set at the festival. Matthew has just successfully completed a Performing Arts BA Honours with a 2:2 at Brooksby Melton College. He now hopes to continue his love of performing arts by attempting to secure work in theatre or on television.
Courtney first studied at Claremont Centre as a part-time learner on a New Deal programme, aiming to re-engage in education. He successfully completed his Level 1 Foundation Learning course and progressed into a Full-Time Level 2 music course. Upon successful completion of his Level 2 he remained a student at the centre and studied a Level 3 National Diploma in Music Practice. Courtney showed enthusiasm and a positive attitude to all aspects of his course and having taken a year out of education Courtney is now studying on the Contemporary and Popular Music BA Honours at University of Newcastle.
